I am highly interested in tragic and grotesque things. I am reading a book wherein the author compares mankind to the children of Chernobyl. He described an image of one of the children and it piqued my interest. I'm fascinated with epidemics, tragedies, and the grotesque. Leprosy, AIDS, transvestites.
They all make me sad, and slightly disgust me, but I can't help but be interested. I can't do research on topics like this before bed because it gives me bad dreams as evidenced by last night's dream:
My sister and I were on a road trip with some other people and we stopped at some hotel/general store. We were browsing the counters of the general store when a kindly woman asked if she could help me. I told her we were browsing. She asked me a few more times and each time I refused help. I walked over to Josey and commented on the pushy sales lady. Josey said, " A lady? Look again. I think it's a man."
This time when I looked, it was definitely a she-male. I said we should leave and as we walked out, the tranny started chasing us. Another one joined in. They became violent and angry and I was running as fast as I could in my stupid tight skirt and it was twisting and they were gaining on us. I knew they were going to lock us in a room and hurt us. They were so creepy and awful. It was terrifying. The images flashed through my head all day.
Tonight I went to see She's the Man and I was slightly disturbed by the main character's man-ish appearance. It made me uncomfortable. And even now as I look for pictures of transvestites to post, it gives me the willies.
I think that transvestites will be taken off my list of gross things that interest me. It's just too creepy.
HAHAHAHA!!!! Oh how I love She's the Man, even with the creepiness!
