Last night, Little Genius put on the end of the year performance. The kids have been working like robots for at least 2 months to learn multiple songs and plays.
The school rented a fancy room, rented several shiny costumes for the kids, hired a balloon artist, and hosted a gigantic buffet that rivaled that of the Super China Buffet in Abilene. The whole production was quite spectacular. (And well it should be because these parents are paying roughly what it costs to go to ACU.)
The show kind of determines how well the school will do next year, and judging by the turn out at registration, Little Genius will be doing quite well. Parents lined up early - one dad got there at 3 a.m. and slept in his car just to make sure his kid got in. Apparently, it is THE school for the upper crust of Daegu. Afterwards we mingled with the parents and took pictures with their children.
I will not be watching The Sound of Music for quite sometime seeing as I have heard “Doe a Deer” approximately 5,673 times the last few months.
