Spring is coming and it's beautiful! Everything is just beginning to bloom, blossom, and sprout.
Thomas A Kempis wrote, "If you wish to learn and appreciate something worthwhile, then love to be unknown and considered as nothing. Truly to know and despise self is the best and most perfect counsel. To think of oneself as nothing, and always to think well and highly of others is the best and most perfect wisdom."
Though he was primarily speaking of spiritual matters, I think this is applicable to learning about other people/cultures. It's remarkable how much more you learn when you aren't stuck on yourself, your worldview, and your way of doing things.

Beautiful picture and blog! It's so true what you and Kempis wrote, we should always strive to put ourselves last. It's just so hard to not see that person in the mirror sometimes as you universe! Oh to be truly unstuck.
